Terms of Service

Effective 15 September 2026.

These terms are written to accurately describe how Calmento actually works today. They have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Treat them as a solid working draft, not a final legal document, until they have.

Agreement

These terms are between you and Waveline Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”), a New Zealand company, and cover your use of Calmento. By creating an account, you agree to them.

What Calmento is

Calmento is booking software for independent service businesses: one account, owned and operated by one person, taking bookings through a shareable page. It does not support separate logins, roles or permissions for staff, and we don’t claim it does.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account. One Calmento account is one business, owned by one person. You must be legally able to run the business you’re signing up on behalf of.

Your data, and your clients’ data

Anything you enter about your business (services, hours, policies) is yours. Data about your clients, entered by them when they book, belongs to you as the business owner; Calmento holds it on your behalf to run the booking page, and never uses it for anything else. You’re responsible for how you collect and use your clients’ data, and for complying with whatever privacy law applies to your business.

You can export your bookings and client list to CSV at any time, in full, from your dashboard.

Pricing and billing

Calmento is a single flat plan: $15 NZD/month or $150 NZD/year, no tiers, no feature paywalls. New accounts get a 30-day free trial with no card required. If you continue past the trial, billing starts at the rate current when you sign up. You can cancel any time from Settings. Nothing further is charged, and your data remains exportable.

Payments you collect from your clients

If you turn on card payments, they’re processed directly by Stripe under your own connected Stripe account. The money goes straight to you. Calmento never holds or touches those funds, and takes no fee on top of Stripe’s own processing fees. You’re responsible for your own Stripe account, including identity verification, payouts, refunds, and disputes.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Calmento for anything illegal, to send unwanted or deceptive communications, to collect data you don’t have a right to collect, or to try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service. We can suspend or close an account that does.

Service availability

We work to keep Calmento reliable. Monitoring, automated backups, and fast fixes are part of the product, not an afterthought. That said, we can’t promise the service will never go down, and we’re not liable for losses caused by an outage beyond providing the reliability commitments described on our pricing and comparison pages.

Cancelling, and what happens to your data

You can cancel any time from Settings. After cancellation, export anything you want to keep. Once your account is closed, your data is deleted.

Disclaimer and liability

Calmento is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable and correct, but we don’t guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Waveline Labs Ltd’s liability for any claim relating to Calmento is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Calmento after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
